I'm a graduate student in Computer Science at UC Berkeley. The Bay Area is a great place for hacking, hiking, skiing, and enjoying all genres of classical music (including SF Symphony, SF Opera, and numerous period instrument ensembles). I am currently working on xFS, a high performance file system as part of the "Network of Workstations" (NOW) project under professor Tom Anderson. I have worked on a few high performance networking projects under professor David Culler, and I am also working on an "Intelligent Disk" (IDISK) project under professor David Patterson. With any luck, I should graduate in '98. I'll explore both industrial and academic positions. Here is my cv.
